The Waterstone Resort & Marina occupies a waterfront site on the south side of Lake Boca, immediately next to the Camino Real Bridge that connects mainland Boca Raton to the barrier island, and a short walk across the bridge to South Beach Park and the Atlantic. The 121-room property opened originally in the 1960s as the Boca Raton Bridge Hotel, served the Mizner Park social-set as a casual alternative to the formal Boca Raton resort for two generations, and was bought by Driftwood Capital in 2015. Driftwood spent USD 19 million on a comprehensive renovation, brought the property into Hilton's Curio Collection (Hilton's premium independent-style brand) in 2017, and reopened the property as the Waterstone Resort & Marina with the structural defining feature of every guest room having a private water-facing balcony.
The 121 rooms (the smaller-of-room-count by category Lake View Rooms, the larger Lake View and Marina Master Suites, and a top-floor Penthouse Suite) are arranged across a curved nine-storey building that fronts Lake Boca on its long side, with the upper-floor balconies looking north across the lake to the city, east to the Atlantic, and west to the Intracoastal sunset.
