The building at Dijver 7 is a 15th-century Bruges merchant's mansion that for most of its history faced directly onto the Dijver canal, the short stretch of water that runs past the Groeningemuseum, the Arents Park and the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk (Church of Our Lady), and forms the most-photographed canal view in Bruges.
