Couples on second or third visits to St John, solo travellers who want company at breakfast without committing to it, and budget-conscious anniversary visitors who would rather spend the resort money on a chartered day-sail all converge here. For a solo traveller the Inn is, room-for-room, the friendliest entry point on St John, the breakfast terrace is communal enough that you'll meet people if you want and small enough that you can read alone if you don't. The bar opens at 5 p.m. and clears by 7; the staff remember names; Cruz Bay's restaurants are five minutes away on foot. The Premium Suite with the private terrace is the booking for an extended creative or recovery stay.
