The Hotel

Ladera Resort sits at 1,100 feet elevation on the Pitons mountain ridge directly between the Gros Piton and Petit Piton, the only luxury hotel anywhere positioned with both UNESCO World Heritage cones flanking the property. The property opened in the 1980s as the original 'open-wall' Caribbean luxury hotel (the architectural register that Jade Mountain would later expand on at the larger scale and from the Anse Chastanet ridge position) and has held the Pitons-mountain-ridge position continuously for the four decades since. Ladera is the only adults-only luxury hotel in the Pitons-area cluster (Sugar Beach Viceroy and Anse Chastanet are family-friendly; Jade Mountain accepts children 14+).

The 37 keys are individually configured open-wall suites distributed across the property's 7-acre ridge estate. Categories run from entry-tier Hilltop Suites (50 sqm with three walls and a private plunge pool) through Pitons Suites (75 sqm with the signature direct Pitons sightline) to multi-bedroom Villa Suites (100-180 sqm with separate bedroom configurations) and the named Villa Suite (250 sqm, the property's milestone unit, the highest-elevation villa with a 32-foot infinity pool and the only unbroken Pitons-and-Caribbean-Sea sightline at the property). Operationally Ladera runs the smallest-Pitons-area luxury scale at the adults-only register. Dasheene, the property's contemporary-Caribbean fine-dining restaurant on the open-wall main building's upper floor, runs the property's signature dinner programme with the same Pitons-and-Caribbean sightline as the suites. The Tcholit Tea House (the property's morning-tea-and-Caribbean-rum afternoon programme) gives the property its signature daily-routine register. The Ti Kaye Spa runs four treatment rooms with the property's signature open-wall structure preserved across the spa cabanas. The 7-acre estate's Rabot Estate cocoa-and-chocolate-tour programme (the property has a structural partnership with Hotel Chocolat's Rabot Estate cocoa farm, which Ladera was historically part of) is the most-considered single-property cultural day-trip.

What gives Ladera the considered Pitons-area position is the smallest-property open-wall register at the adults-only context. The 37-suite footprint is the smallest of the Pitons-area cluster (Jade Mountain 29, Sugar Beach Viceroy 98, Anse Chastanet 49); the adults-only policy makes the property the only Pitons-area luxury option that does not accept guests under 16; and the Pitons-mountain-ridge position is structurally distinct from the Anse Chastanet ridge (Jade Mountain) or the Val des Pitons valley (Sugar Beach).
