Schooner's Cove Inn occupies one of the most strategically located parcels in Cannon Beach: a downtown oceanfront site at the north end of Hemlock Street where the village's main commercial spine meets the dune-and-sand transition to the beach. From the property's beachfront lawn the Haystack Rock view sits squarely off to the south, and the Cannon Beach Bookstore, Sweet Basil's Cafe, and the EVOO cooking school are all a three-minute walk east. Few hotels in the village split the difference between oceanfront and downtown as cleanly as Schooner's Cove does, and the property's pricing reflects the location rather than the architecture.

The two-bedroom suites accommodate up to six in two sleeping areas plus a sitting room; the kitchen handles cereal and sandwich days without restaurant-budget anxiety; the beachfront lawn with its fire pit lets parents see their children on the sand from a deck chair; and the downtown walk to Bruce's Candy Kitchen, the Cannon Beach Bookstore, and Mariner Market is a quick post-dinner stroll.
For an anniversary on the Oregon Coast, Schooner's Cove is the booking when the priority is a walk-to-everything position and an oceanfront hot tub at sunset rather than a hotel restaurant. Book one of the top-floor beachfront suites for the strongest Haystack Rock view; reserve a table at Newmans at 988 or the Driftwood Restaurant in advance; and bring a bottle of Willamette Valley pinot for the in-room kitchenette.
