"The condo property that finally answered the question of what St John would look like if it bothered with design, eight oceanfront keys, a Blue Havana pool, and a rooftop hot tub that earns its place."

The Hotel

Sea Shore Allure was developed in the early 2010s on a small oceanfront parcel at the western edge of Estate Enighed, ten minutes' easy walk from the Cruz Bay ferry dock along the harbour path. The site had been a sleepy private waterfront before the build; the architecture is a clean, Hamptons-meets-Caribbean four-story structure with white wood cladding, navy trim, and a wraparound porch on the pool level. The eight residential units are individually owned but uniformly managed and presented, with a single 24-hour front desk handling reservations, housekeeping, and concierge service for the entire property. It is, by St John standards, the most resolved piece of contemporary hotel design on the island.

All eight units are one- or two-bedroom oceanfront suites between roughly 700 and 1,400 square feet. Each has a full kitchen with stone counters and stainless appliances; a separate living and dining area with a sleeper sofa; a master bedroom with king bed, custom built-ins, and an en-suite bath with a soaking tub; and a private balcony or terrace that opens straight to the water. Interiors lean coastal-modern, whitewashed wood floors, white slipcovered furniture, navy and natural accents, framed black-and-white photographs of the island. The two-bedroom units add a second en-suite bath and a separate kids' room with bunk-style configurations.

The shared amenity is the property's signature: the "Blue Havana" deck, a deep azure-tile pool with a swim-up bench, a Tiki-style bar that opens for happy hour, a pebble-beach sun terrace down to the cove, and a fourth-floor rooftop hot tub with the widest sunset view in Cruz Bay. There is no on-site restaurant, but the kitchens are functional and the Starfish Market and Cruz Bay restaurants are a short walk away. Housekeeping runs daily on request rather than by default; the concierge desk books charter boats, snorkel guides, and restaurant tables at most island venues without effort.

The proposition is a small, contemporary, oceanfront condominium where the design quality and the rooftop pool deck do most of the work that a larger resort would handle with staff. Couples on honeymoons and milestone anniversaries are the dominant guest profile, the property is too small and too quiet for big-family stays, and too design-led to compete with the older self-catering properties on price. One-bedroom suites shoulder-season around USD 425; two-bedroom oceanfronts at the same time around USD 695. For a contemporary, walk-to-town St John base for two, it is the strongest small-property answer on the island.

Best Occasion Fit

Honeymoon

A one-bedroom oceanfront with the soaking tub, the private balcony over the cove, and rooftop-hot-tub access at sunset is the honeymoon configuration here. The walk into Cruz Bay handles restaurant dinners; the kitchen handles slow mornings; the property's small scale, eight units, one staff team, means the staff know your names by the second day. The Blue Havana pool deck is rarely more than half-full.

Anniversary

A milestone anniversary upgrades cleanly to the larger two-bedroom oceanfront, the second bedroom is useful as a quiet office or a dressing room, and the second bathroom matters. The concierge will arrange a private chef in-villa, a sunset charter to Lovango Cay, or a private picnic at Hawksnest with one phone call. The property is small enough that none of this feels staged.
