The Hotel

Caesars Atlantic City Resort & Casino opened on June 26, 1979, as Atlantic City's second post-legalization casino-resort (Resorts International had opened ten months earlier), on the Boardwalk at Pacific Avenue and Arkansas Avenue. The Roman-themed property was developed by Caesars World as the Atlantic City counterpart to the original Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and the city's longest continuously-operating gaming property remains under Caesars Entertainment ownership and is a designated Caesars Rewards flagship. Three guest towers (the Centurion, Ocean, and Temple towers) plus the original podium structure combine into a 1,141-room inventory with 113,000 square feet of casino floor; the property completed a $170 million renovation programme in stages from 2016 through 2021, with phased room refreshes ongoing.

Guest rooms vary by tower: the Centurion Tower delivers the more contemporary refit (refurbished 2018-2020, 350-square-foot Deluxe Rooms with marble bathrooms and the Atlantic City skyline view), the Ocean Tower provides the Boardwalk-and-Atlantic-view inventory (the most-booked category for milestone weekends), and the Temple Tower holds the entry-level Resort Rooms plus the Centurion Suite category. The Caesars Atlantic City Suite (the Augustus Tower's top-floor named suite), the Atlas Suites, and the Forum Suite categories sit above; all suites feature separate sitting rooms, marble bathrooms, and dedicated Diamond Lounge access. The Caesars Rewards Loyalty programme delivers Tier Credits across every dining and gaming outlet.

The 113,000-square-foot casino floor preserves the Roman-imperial theme more authentically than any contemporary Caesars-Palace satellite, with 175 table games, 2,000 slot machines, the dedicated Palace Poker Room, and the Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill. The property's distinctive recreational amenity is the Qua Baths & Spa, the only thermal-pool-and-Roman-bath spa concept in Atlantic City, with twelve treatment rooms, an arctic ice room, a Roman-style relaxation lounge, and a couples suite with a private Roman-bath alcove. The 35,000-square-foot Pavilion Banquet space and the 1,500-seat Circus Maximus Theater (the city's longest-running showroom, with continuous performance dating to the 1979 opening) handle conferences and resident entertainment.

The single most distinctive proposition is the direct interior connection to the Pier Shops at Caesars: a six-floor 320,000-square-foot luxury retail and dining complex extending 900 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, with shops from Gucci to Tiffany, the Continental at the Pier Shops, the One Atlantic event space, and the famous Pier Shops fountain show. No other Atlantic City casino has dedicated luxury-retail adjacency on this scale. Dining inside Caesars itself runs eight outlets including Nero's Italian Steakhouse, Bistro 70, Robert's Steakhouse, Buddakan (a Stephen Starr concept), and Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill (the chef's only East Coast pub). For travellers wanting the heritage-Boardwalk casino experience over the contemporary-glass-tower aesthetic, Caesars remains the city's reference address.

Best Occasion Fit

Business

The 35,000-square-foot Pavilion Banquet space, the 1,500-seat Circus Maximus Theater available for general sessions, dedicated meeting space across the conference floors, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill and Nero's Italian Steakhouse for client dinners, and direct Pier Shops connection for evening downtime make Caesars Atlantic City's most operationally credible heritage-casino conference choice. The Atlas Suite category supports executive accommodations; the Caesars Rewards Diamond Lounge handles in-stay productivity.

Bachelor / Bachelorette

The Roman-imperial theme, the Caesars Rewards group-host programme, Toga (the Vegas-style daytime pool club, the city's only true day-club programme outside Borgata), the Palace Poker Room for serious-play groups, and the Pier Shops at the front door for spend-friendly group activities make this a credible bachelor or bachelorette choice for groups wanting heritage-Vegas energy rather than contemporary Boardwalk character. The Forum Suite category is the natural party-host room.

Anniversary

An Atlantic City anniversary at Caesars centres on the Qua Baths & Spa Roman-bath programme (the only one in the city), Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at lunch, Nero's Italian Steakhouse at dinner, the Pier Shops at Caesars at sunset, and an Ocean Tower Boardwalk-and-Atlantic-view room overnight. The package compares favourably for couples wanting a heritage-casino aesthetic over the contemporary-glass-tower options.
