Tropicana Atlantic City opened on November 23, 1981, as the city's seventh post-legalization casino, at the south end of the Boardwalk at Brighton Avenue. The property was developed by Ramada Inns as the Atlantic City counterpart to its Tropicana Las Vegas flagship, and was acquired by Caesars Entertainment in 2018 from Eldorado Resorts.
