The 47-story oceanfront 1,399-room AAA Four-Diamond casino on twenty beachfront acres of the Atlantic City Boardwalk, 138,000 square feet of gaming, eight pools across multiple decks, the Exhale spa, and the only casino-floor room product in the city with a genuine 1,200-foot private Atlantic beach.
"The closest Atlantic City comes to a Miami-style resort, every room with a balcony, every balcony with a clean Atlantic view."
Ocean Casino Resort occupies twenty beachfront acres at 500 Boardwalk in Atlantic City's northern Boardwalk corridor, in a 47-story striking-glass-facade tower that began life in 2012 as the Revel and reopened, after a substantial $400 million renovation programme, as Ocean Resort Casino in June 2018 (rebranded again as Ocean Casino Resort in 2019 under new ownership). The current operator is Luxor Capital, which has invested over $500 million in further property upgrades since 2019, including a comprehensive room renovation programme completed in 2023 and the addition of a Topgolf Swing Suite in 2022. The property holds the city's only AAA Four-Diamond rating outside the Borgata complex and is the only casino-floor resort on the Boardwalk with a genuine private beach in front (twelve hundred feet of Atlantic frontage on the dunes side of the Boardwalk).
All 1,399 guest rooms occupy the main 47-story tower; every one has a private balcony with a direct or angled Atlantic Ocean view, the most consistently-delivered ocean-view product in the city. Room categories run from the entry Resort Ocean View (around 525 square feet) through the upper-floor Premium Ocean and Premier Suite tiers; the 47th-floor Crown Loft Suites and the top-floor One Atlantic Penthouses (with private wraparound balconies, separate dining rooms, and dedicated butler service) sit at the milestone tier. The 2023 renovation introduced a contemporary white-and-blue beach-house palette across every room, refreshed bathrooms with rainshower fixtures and floor-to-ceiling marble, and updated the soft furnishings to a Miami-Beach-style aesthetic distinct from any other Atlantic City property.
The 138,000-square-foot casino floor holds approximately 130 table games and 2,000 slot machines, anchored by an unbranded high-limit room, the BetMGM Sportsbook, and a dedicated poker room on a separate side of the floor. The property's distinctive recreational offer is its eight-pool programme (the largest pool inventory in Atlantic City), spread across the Sky Garden adults-only pool deck on the 14th floor (panoramic Atlantic views), the seasonal HQ2 Beachclub on the boardwalk side, a year-round indoor pool, and several smaller outdoor decks. Topgolf Swing Suite delivers a six-bay simulator experience adjacent to the boardwalk; Exhale Spa runs a thirteen-treatment-room signature programme with steam, sauna, and a private relaxation lounge.
Dining runs to fifteen outlets including the Top Chef-branded American Bar & Grille (Carla Hall), Dolce by Vidorra (signature Italian), the Boa Steakhouse (Hollywood Boulevard heritage), and 1927 Lobby Bar; a seasonal pop-up programme on the boardwalk side brings additional outlets in summer. The Ovation Hall hosts major touring acts (the room is the city's largest dedicated concert venue after Borgata's Event Center), the HQ2 Nightclub and HQ2 Beachclub anchor the summer programme, and the Topgolf Swing Suite, the AAA Four-Diamond rating, and the private beach make Ocean the city's only casino property that delivers a genuine beach-resort experience as well as a casino-resort experience, a combination Atlantic City otherwise does not deliver.
Ocean is the only Atlantic City casino with a genuine family proposition. The 1,200-foot private Atlantic beach, eight pools (including a year-round indoor pool and a dedicated family-friendly outdoor deck separate from the adults-only Sky Garden), the Topgolf Swing Suite, the ocean-view balcony in every room, and a Premium Ocean Suite category that connects easily into two-bedroom configurations make this the most credible East Coast casino-resort family booking. The Carla Hall American Bar & Grille handles family dining cleanly.
For groups wanting Boardwalk-side energy rather than Borgata's Marina-side casino floor, Ocean is the natural answer. HQ2 Nightclub, the HQ2 Beachclub on the boardwalk side, the Sky Garden adults-only pool deck on the 14th floor, the Topgolf Swing Suite, and an oceanfront balcony in every room combine into a property that handles a fifteen- to twenty-five-person group with depth. The Premier Suite category supports the bachelor party host's room well.
The 160,000 square feet of meeting space, the dedicated Convention Center floor, the AAA Four-Diamond rating, Ovation Hall for general sessions, and the breakout capacity around the casino-floor perimeter make Ocean the natural Atlantic City alternative to Borgata for conferences that want Boardwalk character rather than Marina character. The Premier Ocean Suite tier is the executive-stay default.
